Acer has launched the TravelMate 5542 laptop to the US market. The laptop is designed for business users and based on AMD platform.

The Acer TravelMate 5542 features a 15.6-inch (1366 x 768) LED backlit display, a 2.2GHz AMD Athlon II P340 processor, up to 4GB of RAM, Radeon HD 4250 graphics graphics, a 250GB or 320GB hard drive, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, a 1.3 megapixel Crystal Eye webcam, a DVD writer, and a 2-in-1 card reader, and Windows 7 Professional OS.
