Western Digital today announced the new Scorpio Blue mobile hard drive family. This drive is designed for mainstream notebook computers, that prove ideal for external storage and digital media players.
The WD Scorpio Blue 1TB is made in the industry-standard 9.5 mm, 2.5-inch with 1TB capacity, which is 5,400rpm spin-speed and 8MB cache with Advanced Format support. New Scorpio Blue 1TB hard drive is used SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, transfer read/write speeds of up to 124/150 MB/s.
The WD Scorpio Blue 1TB mobile hard drives are covered by a three-year limited warranty and price of $139 USD.
