Toshiba has released Satellite and Portege laptops with WiMAX mobile broadband connectivity. WiMAX will be available on the Satellite A665, the Satellite M645, the Portégé R705-P35 and the Satellite E205-S1980.
The Satellite A665 laptops (A665-S6086, A665-S6094, A665-S6097, A665-S6098 and A665-3DV6) has a 16-inch HD TruBrite display, a Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7 processor, and integrated or Nvidia discrete graphics. The base price of these five last models is $804.99.
The Satellite M645 models (M645-S4063 and M645-S4070) have a 14-inch widescreen, a Core i3/i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, 500GB HDD, Intel integrated or Nvidia discrete graphics, and Harman Kardon speakers with Dolby Advanced Audio technology. The Satellite M645 models have a starting price of $759.99.
The Portégé R705-P35 packs a 13.3-inch display, Intel Wireless Display technology, a 32nm Core mobile processor, and a raised tile keyboard. The Portégé R705-P35 costs $899.99.
The Satellite E205 (E205-S1980) has a 14-inch LED-backlit screen, a Core i5 processor, a DVD drive, a backlit keyboard, a NVIDIA GeForce 310M graphics card with Optimus technology, a sleek slot-loading DVD drive and LED backlit keyboard. Its price being of $1,079.99.
Toshiba’s WiMAX enabled laptops will be available on Sept. 26, 2010 at select retailers.
