TriGem have announced another new model in their Averatec line of home computers, in the shape of the N3400 ultraportable. While it may resemble a netbook, in fact the aluminum-clad notebook packs a dual-core Pentium T3400 2.16GHz processor, 3GB of RAM (8GB supported) and a 250GB hard-drive, together with a 13.3-inch display.
There’s also WiFi b/g/n, gigabit ethernet and Bluetooth, together with an external 8x DVD burner. Graphics are courtesy of Intel’s GMA X4500HD, while there’s also a VGA output, 4-in-1 memory card reader and three USB 2.0 ports.
The whole thing weighs 1.74kg and comes with a 65W 2-cell 5,000mAh battery; TriGem are yet to make any runtime estimates. However we do know that the Averatec N3400 should be available imminently, priced at around $799.
