Toshiba has announced new mini netbook, called the mini NB500. This netbook is built on Intel’s Pine Trail platform, feature a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) LED-backlit screen, and a 1.5 GHz Atom N550 dual-core processor.

There is also a up to 2GB of RAM, up to a 250GB hard drive, GMA 3150 integrated graphics, a card reader, a webcam, 10/100 LAN, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, a VGA port, a 6-cell battery, and Windows 7 Starter OS.

The Toshiba mini NB520 will be available in Europe and North America next year for approximately $450.

Toshiba has unveiled the NB520 10-inch netbook with Harman/Kardon speakers integrated into the palm rest. The Toshiba NB520 is powered by a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 dual core processor, 1GB of DDR3 memory, a 250GB hard drive with a shock-absorbing system, and Intel GMA 3150graphics.

There are other features which includes a web camera, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, three USB ports, a 6-cell battery, and runs Windows 7 Starter Edition.

The Toshiba NB520 is selling for $599 (about $457 US) in Singapore.
