<p>Panasonic has announced upgrades to the <strong>Toughbook CF-C1mk2</strong> rugged convertible tablet PC. The new version is boasts an increased Intel Core i5-2520M vPro processor (2.50GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.2GHz), 2GB of DDR3 RAM (expandable to 8GB), a 320GB base hard drive, and up to 12 hours of battery life.</p>

<p>The Toughbook CF-C1mk2 comes equipped with a 12.1-inch multi-touch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixel, Intel HD 3000 graphics, a 1.3MP webcam, a spill-resistant keyboard, Gigabit Ethernet, an SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot, and one or two battery packs. Its wireless connectivity including 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth v2.1 and optional Qualcomm&#8217;s Gobi 2000 3G mobile broadband technology.</p>
<p>The Panasonic Toughbook CF-C1mk2 will be available in July 2011 and starting price of €1,899.</p>

The Panasonic Toughbook 53 is designed to survive 30&#8243; drops on six faces, features a spill-resistant keyboard and passes nine MIL-STD-810G tests.</p>
<p>The next-generation Panasonic Toughbook 53 is powered by a second generation Intel i5 or i3 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, a hard drive (HDD) or solid state drive (SSD). Toughbook 53 is support a 14-inch high definition LED display and offers an optional 2-800 nit sunlight-viewable Panasonic CircuLumin touchscreen plus.</p>
<p>The Toughbook 53 also offers a 1.3 megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, optional Bluetooth 2.1, Gobi2000 3G mobile broadband, USB 3.0, VGA, HDMI, an SD card reader, an ExpressCard slot, and, a fingerprint reader. Starting at only 5.6 pounds and delivering up to 10 hours of battery life.</p>
<p>The Panasonic Toughbook 53 i5 model will ship in June at an estimated street price of $1,899, the Toughbook 53 i3 model will ship in August at $1,599, while the touchscreen version will ship in July and is available at an estimated street price of $2,449.</p>

<p>Panasonic today announced upgrades to its Panasonic <strong>Toughbook CF-52</strong> semi-rugged notebook and the business-rugged <strong>Toughbook CF-T8</strong> tablet-alternative notebook computer, adding increased processor speeds, memory and Gobi mobile technology.</p>
<p>The Panasonic Toughbook CF-52 gets a new Intel Core i5-540M (up to 2.53GHz) processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 250GB shock mounted HDD, 15.4&#8243; Active Matrix (TFT) colour LCD display with resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 512MB graphics card, Windows 7 Professional OS. The machine also gets a new range of wireless connectivity options including the Gobi 2000 multiple carrier mobile broadband modem, WiFi, and Bluetooth, 3G mobile broadband and, in the near future, WiMax modules can be optionally embedded into the same unit, permitting a high level of flexibility for mobile data access.<br />

The Toughbook CF-T8 also includes optional integrated Gobi mobile broadband technology from Qualcomm Inc. that allows connections to high-speed mobile Internet services offered by leading network operators virtually anywhere in the world. Other wireless features include Intel Wireless WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1.</p>
