MAINGEAR has announced a new gaming notebook, the eX-L 17. The MainGear eX-L 17 with a choice of Intel’s Core i5 or Core i7 processors, along with a choice of ATI’s 1GB Mobility Radeon HD 5870 GPU, 2GB NVIDIA’s GTX 480M or a 1GB Quadro FX 2800M, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, and the fastest mobile hard drives that can be configured in RAID 0 or 1. Enjoy a glare-free full HD 1080p resolution with LED backlit display (1920 x 1080) that comes with a zero dead pixel warranty.

There are other features which includes a 2.0-megapixel webcam, DVD burner or Blu-Ray drive, a fingerprint reader, four USB 3.0 ports, HDMI output. The whole package can be laser-etched with one of four designs, or your own custom artwork.

The Lenovo ThinkPad W701/W701ds laptops feature the latest Intel processors, the NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800M 128 Cores and NVIDIA Quadro FX 3800M 128 Cores graphic cards, up to 16GB DDR3 RAM, up to 500GB of hard drive storage and up to 256GB of solid state drive storage, the same 200nit WXGA+ LCD display or the WUXGA screen with a 100% NTSC color gamut 280 nit of brightness.

There are other features which includes a 2MP webcam, DVI, VGA and Display Port outputs, a fingerprint reader, Firewire, WiFi, Bluetooth, five USB ports (1x USB 3.0, 1x USB/eSATA combo), an ExpressCard slot, and a 5-in-1 media card reader.

The W710 costs about $2,000 and more higher for W701ds. Both series sold on 23 February.
