NVIDIA has announced the world’s fastest laptop graphics card, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M and 570M. The GeForce GTX 580M is available now in the Alienware M17X and M18X, while the GeForce GTX 570M is shipping in the MSI GT780R.

The nVidia GeForce GTX 580M mobile graphics boast up to 384 processor cores, up to 1240MHz processor clock speed, up to 2GB of GDDR5 memory, up to 256-bit memory width, and up to 1500MHz memory clock speed.

The nVidia GeForce GTX 570M mobile graphics feature up to 336 processor cores, up to 1150MHz processor clock speed, up to 1.5GB or 3GB of GDDR5 memory, up to 192-bit memory width, and up to 1500MHz memory clock speed.

Both nVidia GeForce GTX 580M and 570M 40-nanometer cards supports DirectX11, OpenCL, PhysX, CUDA, 3D Vision, Verde drivers, Optimus, SLI, 3D Vision and 3DTV Play. They are also more efficient, with up to 20 percent better performance per watt than the previous generation.

MSI today announced two gaming laptops with the latest NVIDIA graphics, a full color SteelSeries keyboard and authentic fidelity Dynaudio speakers in North American, the GT780R and the GX780. Both laptops are feature rugged gaming aesthetic and illuminating performance and a SteelSeries keyboard with multicolor backlit.

The MSI GT780R is equipped with a 1TB hard drive, 16GB of RAM, and a GeForce GTX 560M 1.5GB graphics, while the MSI GX780 pack a 750GB hard drive, 12GB of RAM, and a 1GB GeForce GT 555M graphics card.

Both gaming laptops are boasts a 2.0GHz Intel Core i7-2630QM processor, a 17.3-inch LED-backlit display with a resolution of Full HD (1920 x 1080) pixel, a DVD writer, and a 9-cell battery.

Other specifications include a 720p webcam, a 7-in-1 card reader, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, and Bluetooth, HDMI 1.4 output, and two USB 3.0 ports.

The new MSI GT780R and the GX780 are available with a list price of $1,750 and $1,550, respectively.
