Lenovo has unveiled a new ultrathin laptop in China, called ThinkPad X230s. It has a case made of carbon fiber, a weight of just 1.28kg (2.8 pounds) and a minimum thickness of 17.7mm (0.7 inches).

The new Lenovo ThinkPad X230s laptop is powered by an Intel Core i7 central processing unit, 8GB of RAM, 1TB hard drive or 240GB solid state drive.

Other specifications include a 12.5-inch LED backlit display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, a 720p webcam, fingerprint reader, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, two USB 3.0, VGA and Mini DisplayPort ports. Its pre-loaded with Windows 8 OS.

Cost of Lenovo ThinkPad X230s laptop is around 7,399 Yuan (about $1,200).
