The new Dell XPS 14z ultra-thin laptop will be available in the North America and Europe next month. This ultra-thin laptop comes with anodized-aluminum finish and 0.9-inch thick.

The Dell XPS 14z features a Core i5 or i7 processor, a 14-inch WLED-backlit display with 1366 x 768 resolution, up to 8GB of RAM, up to a 750GB (7200 RPM) hard drive or a 256GB solid state drive, and a GeForce GT 520M 1GB graphics card.

Other specifications include a DVD writer, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, Intel Wireless Display support, one USB 3.0 port, HDMI and mini DisplayPort outputs, and a 8-cell battery enabling up to 6 hours of operation.

The Dell XPS 14z will ship in US and Canada on November 1st and starts at $999, while will retail in European market for 899 Euros in November 15th.

Asus has unveiled its 13.3-inch small and ultra-thin laptop, called the U36SD. This laptop is based on Intel’s Sandy Bridge processors, dedicated Nvidia graphics with Nvidia’s Optimus graphics switching technology, and Intel’s WiDi wireless video streaming technology.

The Asus U36SD laptop is boasts a 2.3GHz Intel Core i5-2410M or a 2.0GHz Core Core i7-2620mM processor, 4GB of DDR3 memory (1333 MHz), 640GB hard drive (5400rpm) or 160GB SSD, and Nvidia GeForce GT 520M discrete graphics with 1GB of GDDR3 video memory + Intel GMA 3000 HD graphics.

The Asus U36SD also packs an LED backlit display with a native resolution of 1366×768, a 0.3MP webcam, 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, a multi-format memory cards reader, a USB 3.0 port, an HDMI video output, a 8-cell battery, and pre-loaded with Windows 7 Professional operating system.

Dimensions of Asus U36SD are 328 x 238 x 19 mm and weigh 1.66kg.

Asus has announced its latest business laptops that based around Intel’s Huron River platform, called the 13.3-inch P31S and 14-inch P41S. These laptops are designed to withstand tougher environments, and feature a spill-resistant keyboards, a slim profile, metal casings, and highly-durable hinges.

The P31S laptop has a 1GB GeForce GT 520M discrete graphics and weight 1.78kg, while the P41S laptop include a 1GB GeForce GT 540M graphics, optical drive, and 2kg of weights.

The Asus P31S and P41S laptops are boast an Intel 2nd Generation Core i3-2310M, i5-2410M/2520M or i7-2620M processor. They also pack up to 750GB hard drive, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 (optional), a 3-in-1 card reader, a 0.3 megapixel webcam, and Altec Lansing speakers. Battery options include 6-cell 4400mAh 47Whrs or 8-cell 5600mAh 83Whrs.

The Asus P31S and P41S laptops run Windows 7 operating system and comes with the LoJack software which helps recover when it’s stolen or lost.

MSI has unveiled its new generation CX480 multimedia laptop. The MSI CX480 laptop is powered by your choice of Intel’s second generation Core i5-2410 (2.30GHz) or Core i3-2310 (2.10GHz) processor.
