Acer has announced the 14-inch Aspire 4738 and 15.6-inch Aspire 5742 laptops in European market.

The Aspire 4738 and Aspire 5742 laptops are powered by the new Intel Core i5 and i3 processors, an Intel HD or an nVidia GeForce GT 420M or an ATI Radeon HD 5470 graphics, up to 8GB DDR3 memory, a 750GB hard drive

Both laptops have a CineCrystal panels with 16:9 aspect ratio and HD resolutions, a DVD burner, an HDMI port, a multi-gesture touchpad, a 2-in-1 card reader, a 802.11n WiFi, Gigabit LAN, Bluetooth, a 1.3MP resolution and a built-in microphone.

Dell has recently decided added the Nvidia Optimus support of the XPS 14, XPS 15 and XPS 17. They are based on the Calpella platform.

The Dell Studio XPS 14 comes with a 1GB GeForce GT 420M or 2GB GeForce GT 425M graphics card. The Dell Studio XPS 15 has a GeForce GT 435M GPU with 2GB of memory. The Dell Studio XPS 17 equipped with GeForce GT 435M graphics with 1GB of video memory or a GeForce GTS 445M graphics with 3GB of video memory .

The three new Dell Studio XPS laptops with a choice of an Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processor, a HM57 motherboard, up to 16GB of RAM, DVD writer, optional Blu-ray drive, a 720p webcam, WLED backlighting display, a 9-in-1 card reader, JBL designed and certified high-quality speakers.
