Dell has announced the Inspiron R Series laptops with 2nd Generation Intel Core processors and a new interchangeable lid option, the 14-inch Inspiron 14R, the 15.6-inch 15R and the 17.3-inch 17R. The new SWITCH by Design Studio interchangeable lids that includes 25 new eye-popping lids sporting vibrant colors and unique designs.

There are 3 USB ports, 1 eSATA / USB combo port, Optional 7-in-1 Media Card Reader and SDHC / SDHD card slot. Both 6-cell and 9-cell battery options are available.
