<p>I-O Data has unveiled a portable Blu-ray BDXL burner in the Japanese market, called the <strong>BRP-U6X</strong>. The I-O Data BRP-U6X feature a slim design (20mm thick), weights 320 grams, and a USB 2.0 connectivity.<br />

The I-O Data BRP-U6X is capable of write speeds of up to 6x for BD-R (single- and dual-layer), 4x for 3/4-layer BD-R, 2x for BD-RE, 8x for DVD-R/+R and DVD+RW, 6x for DVD-R/+R DL and DVD-RW, 5x for DVD-RAM, 24x for CD-R and 16x for CD-RW. It also can burn 128GB BDXL discs at a speed of 4X.</p>
<p>The I-O Data BRP-U6X will be available in Japan at the end of April for costs $270.</p>
