Asus unveils its new Eee PC 1201N ION-powered netbook which features a 12.1-inch (1366 x 768) LCD display and is powered by an Intel Atom 330 Dual Core Processor, nVidia ION graphics card, up to a 320GB Hard Drive and up to 3GB of DDR2 RAM. The Asus 1201N comes in a slim and lightweight body form factor and features the new Windows 7 OS.

Other specs include a trio of USB ports, an SDHC card slot, a VGA output, WiFi, Bluetooth, and an HDMI port, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, WiFi Connectivity, a 0.3 Megapixel webcam, stereo speakers.

The Asus Eee PC 900 8.9-Inch Netbook provides the power of a full-sized laptop in a compact body with a larger 8.9-inch screen. It’s sourced from Digitimes, so don’t get too worked up, but word on the street is that Intel’s no longer accepting orders for Z-series Atom chips. If you’ll remember Intel’s initial distinctions, the Z-series was for MIDs and the familiar N-series was for netbooks, but since the Z-series didn’t carry the same max hardware restrictions as the N-series, it became popular in a whole host of devices that didn’t fit the traditional mold, like the Sony VAIO P and the ASUS Eee PC T91. Of course, Intel’s got the next-gen Pine Trail Atom platform on tap, so killing the Zs might not have a huge impact in general, but it’s just one more nail in the MID coffin.
