Dell will release soon the Alienware M18x gaming laptop. It has features a 18.4-inch WLED TrueLife glossy display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, dual AMD Radeon HD 6970M (CrossFireX) or dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M (SLI) graphics card and a 12Cell 97WHr battery.

Dell XPS 17 and Alienware M17x with Sandy Bridge

Dell has announced new XPS 17 and Alienware M17 laptops with the 2nd Generation Intel Core “Sandy Bridge” processors.

The Dell XPS 17 features an Intel Core i3/i5/i7 CPU (the i7 builds will include WiDi support), a WLED display – up to 1080p (3D panel is optional), a chiclet keyboard, an Nvidia GeForce 500M series graphics card, JBL speakers, and a Skype HD-ready webcam.

The Dell Alienware M17x rev 3 comes with an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, a WLED-backlit 120Hz display has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, Wireless HD, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M 1.5GB or AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1/2GB graphics card.

The Dell XPS 17 is expected to debut on February 1st and starts at $1,449, while the M17x rev 3 which is set to become available on January 10 and starting price of $1,499.

Eurocom Laptops Gets Radeon HD 6970M Graphics

Eurocom has added the AMD Radeon HD 6970M video graphics card to its high-performance laptop. Their laptop lineup is the 17.3-inch Eurocom Panther 2.0 and Eurocom Cheetah 2.0, the 18.4-inch Eurocom Leopard and 15.6-inch Eurocom Cougar.

The AMD RadeonTM HD 6970M is the top performing GPU in the AMD HD 6000 series. The AMD RadeonTM HD 6970M has feature a GDDR5 256-bit memory, 960 Stream Processor Units, 48 Texture Units, up to 1.31 TeraFLOPs of computing power, PCI Express 2.1 x16 bus interface, and OpenGL 4.1 support.

CrossFireXTechnology allows multiple GPUs support for the Eurocom Panther 2.0 and the Eurocom Leopard, while the Eurocom Cheetah 2.0 and Cougar laptop has single-card.
