Acer has expanded the new TravelMate Timeline lightweight laptop in America, called the TravelMate Timeline 8481T. The TravelMate Timeline 8481T features an innovative new display technology to allow an ultra-compact, frameless 14-inch LCD to fit into a 13.3-inch footprint, and just 3.7 pounds with a super slim 0.87-inch profile.

The Acer TravelMate Timeline 8481T laptop is powered by a 2nd generation Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 14-inch LED-backlit display with 1366 x 768 resolutions, up to 320GB hard drive, and Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics.

Other features include a fingerprint reader, WiDi (Wireless Display) support, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, a webcam, USB 3.0 port, and a 8-cell battery with up to 13 hours of run time.

The Acer TravelMate Timeline 8481T will be available in the U.S. and Canada in early September and the cost is start from $999.99.

Acer has announced four new TravelMate Timeline business laptops in the North America. They are Acer TravelMate Timeline 6495 (14-inch), 6595 (14-inch), 8473 (15.6-inch), and 8573 (15.6-inch).

The Acer TravelMate Timeline 6495, 6595, 8473 and 8573 are based on the second-generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 750GB hard drive or 128GB SSD, and Nvidia discrete graphics card with Optimus technology.

New TravelMate Timeline laptops are equipped with an LED-backlit (1366 x 768) display, a DVD writer, built-in webcam, a 5-in-1 card reader, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, one USB 3.0 port, HDMI and VGA video outputs, a fingerprint reader, a TPM module, Intel’s Wireless Display technology, and and a PowerSmart battery.

Acer has announced a new TravelMate laptop in the UK, namely the TravelMate 5760. This laptop is designed for business users and based on the current generation of Intel central processing units.

The Acer TravelMate 5760 is boasts Intel Core i3 or a Core i5 CPU, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, an Intel HD 3000 graphics, and a 250GB/320GB/500GB/640GB/750GB hard drive.
