Acer has announced a new updated version of Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook. This new Ultrabook is now available with a 240GB solid state drive (SSD) and a 1.7GHz ‘Sandy Bridge’ Intel Core i7-2637M processor.

The new Acer Aspire S3 is packs a 13.3-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 4GB RAM, Bluetooth 4.0, 1.3 megapixel webcam, card reader, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI output, and a 3280 mAh battery. It is pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

The Core i7 version of the Aspire S3 Ultrabook retails for $1299 (Core i5 versions begin at $899).

In November, Acer Aspire S3 model has three new models. Three ultrabooks are price at €999, €1,199, and €1,399, respectively.

The Acer Aspire S3-951-6646 Ultrabook is equipped with a 13.3-inch CineCrystal LED-backlit display with 1366 x 768 resolutions, a 1.3-megapixel Crystal Eye webcam, a 2-in-1 card reader, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Dolby Home Theater v4 audio, down-firing stereo speakers, two USB connectors, an HDMI output, and up to 6 hours of battery life.

The Ultrabook measures 12.59″ x 8.52″ x 0.51″ to 0.68″ and weighs in at 2.98 pounds. This allows the lid and bezel to form a strong aluminum frame around the screen, and reduces the bezel thickness by about 10 percent (over traditional displays), creating a super-slim silhouette that is still strong enough to protect the display.
