MSI recently introduced a newest lightweight gaming laptop, called MSI GE40. It is significantly slimmer than high-end laptops and full aluminum body with psychedelic dragon eye backlit design.

The MSI GE40 gaming laptop sports a 2.9GHz Intel Core i7-4702MQ processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760M graphics with 2GB  of memory, 8GB of RAM, and a 750GB HDD or 125GB mSATA SSD plus a 750GB HDD for increased performance.

New MSI GE40 laptop has a 14-inch display and resolution of 1,600 x 900 pixels, Giga LAN adaptor and 2 USB 3.0 and 1 USB 2.0 ports. MSI is also selling a $1,400 version that combines a 128GB mSATA solid-state drive with a 750GB HDD.

The LENOVO IdeaPad Y400 laptop has feature a 2.40GHz Intel Core i7-3630QM (up to 3.40 GHz) processor, 8GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive, a nVidia GeForce GT 750M dedicated graphics card with 2GB of DDR5 memory, 14-inch LED Anti Glare display with resolution of 1366×768 pixel, a DVD SuperMulti burner, and 6-cell lithium-ion battery.

The connectivity and Input/Output options of the  LENOVO IdeaPad Y400 include an HDMI output, VGA port, Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 ports, a 720P HD webcam, Bluetooth, as well as 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi.

Lenovo has announced its new slim business laptop, the Lenovo ThinkPad T430s. This laptop is boasts the Intel’s 3rd generation ‘Ivy Bridge‘ Core processors including i5-3320M and i7-3520M CPU.

Acer has just unveiled a new Aspire series laptop called the Aspire 4755G. This Aspire 4755G laptop is designed for everyday users, a glossy cover with an attractive stripy pattern modulated, and with color options including Copper Brown, Onyx Black, Cranberry Red, and Olive Green.

Samsung has released two Series 3 laptops in the US, called the 12.1-inch NP350U2B-A01US, and the 14-inch NP300V4A-A01US.

The Samsung NP350U2B-A01US Series 3 laptop is powered by a 2.30GHz Intel Core i5-2410M 2.30GHz processor and 500GB hard drive, while the Samsung NP300V4A-A01US Series 3 is boasted by a 2.10GHz Intel Core i3-2310M processor and 640GB hard drive.

Asus has released the new U Series laptop in European market, called the U46SV. This U46SV ultra-thin laptop is based on Intel’s Huron River platform, also features a hinge-forward design with an aluminum chassis, and a lovely champagne color.

The Asus U46SV laptop is is powered by a 2.3GHz Intel Core i5-2410M processor, 4GB/6GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive, and  a GeForce GT 540M graphics card with 1GB of memory and Optimus support. It packs a 14-inch LED-backlit display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel, a DVD burner, a 0.3 megapixel webcam, and an 8-cell battery

Asus has started selling its AMD Llano-powered laptop in Asia, the Asus A43TA. This new Asus A43TA laptop is boasts a 2.3GHz AMD A6-3400M accelerated processing unit and includes a 1GB Radeon HD 6520G integrated graphics with 320 stream processors running at 400MHz.

Acer has just released a new laptop aimed at professional users, called the TravelMate 8481. This laptop feature a magnesium-aluminum frame with an anti-shock mechanism for the HDD, plus dust protection and metal hinges.

The Acer TravelMate 8481 laptop is boasted by a 2nd generation Intel Core-series processor, up to 8GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive or 64GB SSD, NVIDIA graphics card with the Optimus technology, and a 14-inch display with a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels (HD). The Acer TravelMate 8481 and the L512 will be available in August, 2011 for prices starting at £699.

MSI has announced a new couple of ultra-thin laptops, namely the X460 and X460DX. Both laptops are based on Intel’s Huron River mobile platform.

The MSI X460 and X460DX laptops are powered by a 2.0 GHz Core i5-2410M or 2.3 GHz Core i7-2630QM processor, DDR3 memory, and up to a 750GB hard drive. The X460 laptop sports an Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics, while the X460DX has a Nvidia GeForce GT 540M card with 1GB of dedicated memory.

Both MSI laptops are equipped with a 14-inch LED backlight display with 1366 x 768 resolution, a DVD writer, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, a 4-in-1 card reader, two USB 3.0 ports, D-Sub and HDMI outputs, and THX TruStudio Pro audio. Its battery is a 6-cell and enabling up to 8 hours of runtime.

Asus has announced its latest business laptops that based around Intel’s Huron River platform, called the 13.3-inch P31S and 14-inch P41S. These laptops are designed to withstand tougher environments, and feature a spill-resistant keyboards, a slim profile, metal casings, and highly-durable hinges.

The P31S laptop has a 1GB GeForce GT 520M discrete graphics and weight 1.78kg, while the P41S laptop include a 1GB GeForce GT 540M graphics, optical drive, and 2kg of weights.

The Asus P31S and P41S laptops are boast an Intel 2nd Generation Core i3-2310M, i5-2410M/2520M or i7-2620M processor. They also pack up to 750GB hard drive, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 (optional), a 3-in-1 card reader, a 0.3 megapixel webcam, and Altec Lansing speakers. Battery options include 6-cell 4400mAh 47Whrs or 8-cell 5600mAh 83Whrs.

The Asus P31S and P41S laptops run Windows 7 operating system and comes with the LoJack software which helps recover when it’s stolen or lost.
