Acer announced two new Aspire Ethos entertainment laptops in the US and Canada, includes the Aspire Ethos AS5951G and AS8951G. Both laptops are designed to activities, graphic-intensive gaming, video streaming, high-definition DVDs, photography or videos, and have a brushed aluminum magnesium alloy enclosure.
The Acer Aspire Ethos 5951G laptop packs a 15.6-inch LED backlit display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, up to 750GB hard drive, and two built in stereo speakers and the Acer Tuba CineBass booster.
The Acer Aspire Ethos 8951G includes an 18.4-inch LED-backlit display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, up to 1.5TB of storage with support for dual hard drives, and Acer CineSurround with five Dolby-tuned built-in speakers and Acer Tuba CineBass subwoofer.
The Acer Aspire Ethos 5951G and 8951G laptops are powered by a 2nd Generation Intel Core i7 Quad-Core or a 2nd Generation Intel Core i5 Dual-Core processor, up to 16GB of memory, and NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M graphics with 2GB of dedicated DDR3 VRAM.
The new Ethos laptopks also feature a DVD or Blu-ray drive, a Crystal Eye HD webcam, card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, and a combo USB/eSATA port.
Pricing for the Acer Aspire Ethos AS5951G in the US starts at $1,399.99, that the Aspire Ethos AS5951G in Canada start at $1,199 CAD. Cost of the Acer Aspire Ethos AS8951G in the US starts at $$1,599.99, while the Aspire Ethos AS5951G in Canada start at $1,499 CAD.
