New Sony Vaio P Series gets 3G, GPS and accelerometer
VAIO P Series is the first laptop computer from Sony with built-in GPS, 3G on-board, a built-in accelerometer and a new digital compass. It’s smaller than a laptop and smarter than a smartphone, the colourful VAIO P Series from Sony is your perfect partner for on-the-move computing.
The new Sony Vaio P getting a choice of Intel Atom Z530, Z540 or Z560 processors, 2GB of RAM, 64GB SSD, and an Intel SCH US15W chipset, a 8-inch widescreen LCD display with resolution of 1600×768 pixel, two USB 2.0 ports, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, 0.31MP camera, SD card slot, Gigabit Ethernet, optional D-Sub, integrated 3G and GPS, while the standard battery is apparently good for up to 5hrs (or 10hrs with the optional extended pack), weighing just over 600g and slipping effortlessly into a bag or jacket pocket, and runs Windows 7 Home Premium (32bit)
The new VAIO P Series ultra-portable laptop computer is available from June 2010.
